The “Well” Multi Cultural Resource Centre

At our communion services in Torrance we normally uplift a Retiral Collection to support our Presbytery Charities.

Should you wish you can join us this month in supporting The “Well” Multi Cultural Resource Centre

Information

Information

The Well is a charity that is passionate about giving hope to ethnic minority communities in South East Glasgow. For the past 30 years they have helped members of the community deal with issues such as poverty, social isolation, limited English language skills, cultural differences, and simply not knowing ‘how things work’ in the UK. Through one-to-one Advice Consultations and friendship-building activities, they strive to support people to overcome these disadvantages.

Ways to Give

There will be envelopes and a Retiral Collection available at our service on the 20th of September. Our Finance Team will make sure these are delivered  to The Well.

If you are eligible for gift aid or would like to give separately you might like to consider a balance transfer.

Ways to Pray

  1. Please pray for more volunteers to join their team – this is an ongoing need, but is quite critical now, with some recent changes and illnesses.
  2. Pray for Karen as she joins them in October to take over their women & family work.
  3. They are supporting some very vulnerable people with difficult situations, pray for wisdom for them as they navigate these challenges.
  4. One young man is suffering gross injustice. Please pray for him and their volunteer who is supporting him.
  5. Two of their service users were recently victims of racial attacks – one continues to suffer trauma and nightmares from it – please pray for their healing.
