Youth Weekend Away, Fundraising Lunch Update

September 15, 2018

Huge thanks to everyone who catered for and attended the fundraising lunch on 2nd September. Remarkably, gifts given totalled £540 towards the bus cost of £545. On hearing the news, someone present lost no time in finding a further £5 and the need was met to the penny (again!). Glory to God and thanks all! Robin, on behalf of the Youth Weekend Away Team.

Christmas Card

December 4, 2017

Connect are making the Christmas card this year so look for it appearing in the foyer any day now. To save time and energy writing cards to your friends in the Church, why don’t you leave a message on the card in the foyer. As we are endeavouring to be an ECO friendly Church, this will play a small part in not using so much paper. There will be a donation box with the card so, if you would like to donate what you would normally spend on cards, this would be much appreciated. Donations will go to Mercy House in Zambia, so you will also be helping the children there.

Crossover Christmas Banquet

November 30, 2017

We are hosting our Annual Christmas Banquet on Saturday 2nd December, 7-9pm and all those from P7 to S3 are welcome. The cost is £4 per head and the dress code is formal – so, best bib and tucker all round please! Parental consent forms are required and will be available on the door.

Scripture Union

October 26, 2017

Throughout 2017 Scripture Union movements across the world have been celebrating 150 years since Josiah Spiers first gathered a group of children together, pioneering a new approach to sharing Jesus with children. There have been various events and opportunities to celebrate through the year here in Scotland and this culminates in a special Anniversary Service on Saturday 28th October in Charlotte Chapel, Edinburgh. We will be looking back with thanksgiving for God’s faithfulness and looking forward and committing ourselves afresh to reaching the next generation of young people. There is an open invitation to anyone who would like to join the celebration from 2:30-4pm, with tea and coffee following the service.
