Glasgow and Bethlehem Praying in Solidarity for Peace in the Holy Land
Ecumenical Advent Service taking place on Saturday, 9th December 2023 at 2pm in Glasgow Cathedral, Castle Street, Glasgow, G4 0QZ to pray in solidarity for peace in the Holy Land. There will be a reception in the Cathedral supported by the Lord Provost’s Office after the service. We will be joined by Civic and Church Leaders honouring and marking the St Margaret Declaration which was signed earlier this year at Dunfermline Abbey. This is a very important document for the Church of Scotland and the Roman Catholic Church stating that it is a ‘Declaration of Friendship between the two churches, choosing to call it the St Margaret Declaration, conscious of Saint Margaret’s role in the life of our nation and of her work, in her own life, for the unity and peace of Christ’s Church in Scotland.
Venue: St Aloysius, Rose St. Glasgow on Friday 17th November 2023 at 7pm. All Welcome – Refreshments to follow.
