Fairtrade Fortnight is 09-22 September this year to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Fairtrade mark. The theme for Fairtrade Fortnight 2024 is “Be the Change”. The theme encourages consumers to make ethical choices by purchasing Fairtrade-certified products, which supports producers in developing countries and helps to highlight how consumers can ‘be the change’ by choosing Fairtrade every time. Our Singalong will resume on Thursday 19th of September at 1.30 until 3pm and we look forward to welcoming our lovely regulars and hopefully many new faces. Please encourage your friends and neighbours to come along and join in the fun singing a wide variety of songs and old favourites. They will receive a warm welcome. We are also dementia friendly.
Alpha Course

For those who are seeking, we plan to run an Alpha Course which will start with a ‘Launch Night’ on Monday 7th of October, that will give an insight into what Alpha is all about. Crossover is back this weekend, and it’s a “Big Event” Crossover – specifically a trip to the Bearsden Ski Centre for a tubing session. Tubing, if you don’t know, is sliding down the dry ski slope riding a large inflated inner tube. It is great fun for all ages!
Please meet at the Bearsden Ski Centre for 1.45pm. The address is The Mound, Stockiemuir Road, Glasgow G61 3RS. (www.skibearsden.co.uk) – Pick up, from the same place, will be at 4pm.
If your child wants to take part, please let us know in advance, and make sure that you have completed this session’s registration form (https://eu.jotform.com/202147077463353). You only need to complete the form once for the whole 2022/23 session.

Dementia Friendly Concerts at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall

These concerts provide a fun and interactive Music afternoon with fabulous entertainment in a Dementia Friendly environment. All Concerts all held in the Strathclyde Suite with lift access and wheelchair accessibility. There are very friendly staff from Glasgow Life to welcome and assist you to the Concert Hall.

Doors Open Day at Caldwell Halls, Torrance

Torrance and Baldernock Heritage and History Group in conjunction with Girlguiding Torrance are hosting an event sharing their legacy and local history on Sunday 8th September between 12 – 4.30pm. If you have any old photographs or memorabilia relating to Torrance or Girlguiding that you would like to share please bring them to the church on Sunday 1st September and we will pass them to the Caldwell Halls
