Dementia Friendly Concerts at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall

These concerts provide a fun and interactive Music afternoon with fabulous entertainment in a Dementia Friendly environment. All Concerts all held in the Strathclyde Suite with lift access and wheelchair accessibility. There are very friendly staff from Glasgow Life to welcome and assist you to the Concert Hall.

The 400-voice Praise Gathering choir return to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall for two concerts with very special guest Alvin Slaughter. Alvin is from New York City and has been at the forefront of Gospel Music for over 30 years. Also taking part is the 80-strong Praise Gathering Youth Choir, so… come and Praise the Lord with us (Ticket cost – £32.50 – Upstairs or Downstairs / £29.50 – Upstairs or Downstairs.

If anyone is interested in booking tickets for Praise Gathering this year, people might like to go as a church group. Ally Nisbet and Alison Crawford are both in the choir and are able to get tickets directly, rather than through the booking office where you need to pay an additional booking fee.

Alzheimer Scotland – Mind That Song

Just a reminder that Mind That Song starts back tomorrow 13 January in Bearsden Cross Church, 61 Drymen Rd, Bearsden, Glasgow G61 2SU at 2pm.
Tomorrow, we will be delighted to welcome members from the Campsie Accordion & Fiddle Club who will provide us with the entertainment. Please remember that parking is restricted at the Church and we would advise if possible to park elsewhere if you can or if mobility is an issue then you can drop off and then go and park.

Bearsden Choir warmly invite you hear them sing Mozart’s Requiem in the City halls on Sat 13 May at 4.00pm, with four soloists, accompanied on two pianos. Before the main item, we bring you five spirituals from ‘Child of our Time’ by Michael Tippet which we recently recorded for BBC2, and the world premiere of ‘Love lives beyond the Tomb’, words by John Clare (1793-1864), set to music by a member of the choir, George Swann, a young, up-coming conductor and composer.

We are hosting the Father’s Song Choir of 30 male singers and band for a concert to support Anne Davidson on Saturday 14th January. This will be a fabulous evening of great singing and music. All are welcome. Entrance will be free and a collection will be made for Anne’s work in Zambia.
