24-7 Prayer, the writers of Lectio 365, are organising a Global Week of Prayer from 1st to 7th September. 72 nations have enrolled so far and Torrance Parish Church is enrolled with them. While we don’t intend to organise a Prayer Room for 7 days, as we have done for our 24 hour prayer events, we will be participating in our own way, using the creative material that has been provided.
On Sunday 31st August at 6.30pm, we will hold a short time of worship, followed by a longer time of prayer, using the prayer activities that will be used by communities across the world. We also ask that folks will commit to praying at the same hour at home/ work each day during the week of prayer, so that our church will be praying non-stop with the world. We pray that many of you will join in this vision to pray for our broken, fragile world. Just imagine what could happen if every nation joined in prayer at the same time!
