Christingle

Christingle means ‘Christ’s Light’ and it is a symbol of the Christian faith. Lots of churches hold Christingle services around Christmas time. The custom of giving out lighted candles in these services began in Germany in 1747 but it wasn’t introduced to the UK until the late 60’s.
Christingles are made up of different parts, each one being there to remind us of something and it starts with an orange …….

Changing Lives Malawi – Various Cards

There is a selection of cards on the table in the foyer costing £5 per pack. This registered charity is run by committed volunteers, supporting hundreds of vulnerable children in rural northern Malawi through a variety of projects and they would be grateful for your support.
Crossover 2024 – Save the Date!

Next year’s Crossover kicks off on Saturday 6 January 2024, and this is advance notice that we will be running a Family Games Night, with parents (and siblings) invited along to join in the fun.

Thank You For The Music at Christmas!

Our Christmas Singalong is on Thursday 21st December and we will start at the earlier time of 1pm to accommodate our light buffet and will finish at the slightly later time of 3.30pm. We have the youth ceilidh band ‘Cannae be Reel’ coming along to play some tunes for us and the Girls’ Brigade are also going to join us and sing some songs too. It’s going to be a fun day. Come along and join in. All welcome!
Carol Singing at the Community Café

Come and enjoy some scones, home baking and mince pies on Wednesday 20 December from 9am to noon. A warm welcome awaits you and we will be ending the year with some carol singing.
The café will close on 20 December and reopen on 10 January 2024.
Who Let The Dads Out!

Saturday 9 December 10-11.30am
For children aged 0-5 (ish) to come along with dad/grandpa/uncle, etc. There will be toys, games, play, craft and snacks for the kids. Tea/Coffee refreshments for the dads. For more information call 01360 620970.
