Tearfund Advent Emails

November 23, 2021

Christmas is coming! What will it look like in your neighbourhood? Will there be twinkling lights? Decorated trees glimpsed through windows, with brightly wrapped presents for loved ones nestled underneath?

God so loved the world that he gave us his son! Jesus: the ultimate expression of love to us and for us. And Jesus taught us to love our God and our neighbour.

He also taught us that our neighbour isn’t simply the person who lives right next door. Spend some time with us each day in the run-up to Christmas and you’ll meet and be encouraged by neighbours from down the road and around the world through scriptures, devotions, personal stories, poetry, music and prayer.

Sign up now to receive your daily Advent emails for 2021. They’re so much better for your soul than a chocolate calendar … (although perhaps a Fairtrade one of those might be an excellent accompaniment!).

The next edition of the Church Newsletter will be published at the beginning of December to cover the period until the end of March. As many church groups/activities have recently restarted this would be an ideal opportunity to update the church family of all that is happening in our church and of any plans for the next few months. It also offers the opportunity for any who may wish to reflect on their experience over the past twenty months. All items should be sent to Graeme Phimister at office@tpc.org.uk no later than Sunday 28th November.
