NOTICE OF A DECISION OF THE VACANCY PROCEDURE COMMITTEE
To be read to the congregation of Torrance on Sunday 28th February 2021
(Intimations to the congregation shall take place at online worship, by placing on the website and social media if used, and by email or letter and/or by phone so as to ensure that all members of the congregation receive intimation in some form or other.)
Notice is hereby given that the Vacancy Procedure Committee of the Presbytery of Glasgow proposes that the vacant charge of Torrance should be granted leave to call a minister on an unrestricted basis in accordance with the Presbytery Plan.
This action will proceed unless at least four persons, who are either communicant members of this congregation of Torrance or full members of Presbytery, together or separately, submit to the Interim Presbytery Clerk a request for this proposal to be considered at the next Ordinary Meeting of the Presbytery.
Any such request must set out the relevant reasons, and should be submitted in writing to:
