The World Mission Council asks us to pray for women in the world church

October 26, 2017

Father, You have created us in your image and love us equally yet around the World women suffer discrimination, violence and abuse because of their gender. Lord, make us a church that speaks out against injustice in all its forms – human trafficking and modern slavery, sexual and physical abuse, emotional coercion and subjugation.
Equip the women of your world church to work in your service, to be powerful witnesses and agents of change and to speak out for the rights of all to live a life of fullness in your grace. Amen

Pray with us

September 5, 2017

Creation Time is a period, each September, when churches around the world dedicate to prayer for the protection of Creation and the promotion of sustainable lifestyles that reverse our contribution to climate change.
Creator God, You have crafted a world of beauty, a planet that is intricately woven. Help us to meet you in beautiful views, the music of streams and the changing light of sunshine and clouds. Make us wise and compassionate stewards of your Earth and loving neighbours to your people across the continents. We pray together in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Extended Opening Hours!

September 5, 2017

We’re delighted to update you on the cafe’s extended opening hours ….. From early September, we will open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings, from 9am-12pm. Our hope is that after a 6 month trial, there would be an employment opportunity for someone to run the cafe. In order to plan for this, there will be an increase in costs, but we will continue to offer good quality at a great price! We look forward to your support in their venture. If you’d like to help in any way, please do get in touch with Jen at office@tpc.org.uk

Extended opening hours for the cafe

July 28, 2017

We are looking to open the cafe another couple of days from September. There will be lots of opportunities to get involved, whether with baking, serving, helping out with the fair trade stall….. A new Matthew Algie coffee machine will provide cappuccinos, lattes etc., and we’ll have a wider range of home baking. If you’d like to be involved in any way, please speak to Jen or email office@tpc.org.uk

Please join us as we pray:

April 29, 2017

Lord of life and hope, we pray for those whose lives are beset with
doubts, anxiety and fears.
For those who are marginalised and disconnected, feeling shunned and alone.
Father may they hear your words of love, comfort and peace and know your resurrection power in their lives.
In the name of Jesus, our risen Lord Amen

The World Mission Council

February 22, 2017

invites us to pray for issues that affect churches around the world. Almighty God, You are the God of all comfort, we pray for the survivors of violence and abuse. For those who suffer at the hands of others because of their gender. Be with them in their confusion and pain and strengthen them with your love. Lord turn the hearts of abusers and open their eyes to the truth of their conduct and the damage they do, bring them to repentance and change their behaviour. Amen

The World Mission Council of the Church of Scotland
