Special guest report from Central Asia

Come along to the prayer meeting this week when we’ll be hearing from two inspiring guests who are pioneering SU ministry in Central Asia. They and are visiting Scotland this week as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of Scripture Union worldwide. This will be a great chance to learn more about life for our brothers and sisters in Christ living in challenging conditions but still making the most of the opportunities to share the gospel in innovative ways.

Extended opening hours for the cafe

We are looking to open the cafe another couple of days from September. There will be lots of opportunities to get involved, whether with baking, serving, helping out with the fair trade stall….. A new Matthew Algie coffee machine will provide cappuccinos, lattes etc., and we’ll have a wider range of home baking. Due to the holiday period it would be great if folks could provide articles a bit earlier than usual. Alpha – Volunteers

We are planning to run a lunchtime Alpha course starting on Monday 2nd October. In order to make this possible we require some volunteers to prepare lunch (soup and sandwiches or soup and baked potatoes with fillings). If you can help with some of the lunches please speak to Bert Cooke or Bill Gray.
