Earth Hour

March 14, 2015

– Earth Hour is approaching, and East Dunbartonshire Council is again showing its support for this high-profile international event by ‘thinking globally, acting locally’.
On Saturday 28 March from 8:30 – 9:30pm, the Council will switch off the floodlights at William Patrick Library in a visual and symbolic gesture to remind everyone that reducing fossil fuel use is important, achievable and a responsibility that we all share. Just as we are encouraging our employees to do their bit, we would also urge our local churches and community groups to sign up, switch off and spread the word.
