Campsie Show – Baking and Crafts!

The show takes place at Bogton Farm on Saturday 2 June, and along with other interests there is an industrial section where anyone who is interested in baking or crafts can complete, and there are classes for children as well as adults. We are also looking for volunteers to assist with running and sponsoring this. Empty Ink Cartridges

When your ink cartridge runs out, why not wrap it in cling film, bring it to church and put it in the container beside Sheila’s “Bawbee Bucket”. Most cartridges are recyclable and raise money for Bishkek. Regrettably, Toner Cartridges, Brother, Epson and Kodak ink cartridges are rejected. Thanks, Bob Burrell.
Gartmore Weekend Retreat – Fri 12 to Sun 14 October 2012

As a result of the first very successful weekend in 2010, we are organising a second weekend for the congregation at this beautiful venue. Activities will include watercolour painting, jewellery making, walking and …. eating! Accommodation is in en-suite rooms (single rooms available). The cost will be approximately £150 for the full weekend. Day visitors will be made most welcome. More details soon.

Flower Ministry

We are delighted to confirm that Ann Nisbet agreed to take on the role of co-ordinator as from 8th April. Arrangers can either arrange the flowers during the Friday Cafe or contact Ann for access. It has been a privilege for both of us to have been involved in this Ministry over the past 2 years and we thank you all for your prayers, support and friendship. Jean & Sheila.
Holiday Club!

It’s that time again folks! The Holiday Club week will be Monday 6 to Friday 10 August, 10am to 12 noon and we hope you will be free to volunteer. We will have a brief meeting in the meeting room after the morning service to discuss the way forward and hope to see you there.

Friendship Lunch

The next Friendship Lunch will be on Tuesday, 1st May at 1pm. After the disappointment of Torrance Primary School not being able to come in March, we are pleased to say that they will definitely be there on the 1st. We hope you can be there too.
Guinness™ World Record!

It has now been confirmed that Torrance Parish Church is a world record Breaker and part of ‘The Largest Group of Carol Singers Across multiple Venues’ which took place on Sunday 18th December 2011, when 18,100 singers and 196 churches took part in the challenge. The Certificate can be viewed on the notice board in the foyer!
