Stewardship Study Guide – Pick up your copy today

If you haven’t already, pick up your copy of ‘Money’, the study guide we’re using as a church over the next month or so, either individually or in our small groups.  Copies are available on the table in the café.

Interserve Scotland Annual Conference

October 2, 2011

The conference begins on Friday at 7.30pm and concludes at 5.00pm on Saturday.  Tea, coffee and cake will be served from 6.30pm on Friday.  Saturday visitors should arrive for the first session beginning at 9.30am. Tea and coffee will be available from 9.00 am.  A light lunch will be provided on the Saturday. There will be a children’s programme on the Saturday only for 3-14 year olds.

Rev Dr Bryson Arthur will explore what God’s Word has to say about mission in the face of suffering, persecution and conflict.  We will also have input from May Arthur about their work in the Middle East; from the Interserve Scotland staff and

some recent ‘Short Term’ folks telling us of their experiences. The cost is £30 for the two days or a donation for the Friday only. Defending Gospel Freedom

The Christian Institute is holding an important series of meetings in venues throughout Scotland this Autumn focussing on the threat posed to free speech and Gospel freedom by the Scottish Government’s Anti-Sectarianism Bill. The meetings will also cover the extremely important issue of homosexual marriage. There are various venues for example; Bishopbriggs on Thursday 13th October, 7:30pm to

Christian Viewpoint – Thirty Four Years in Japan (Trials and Treasures)

Empty Ink Cartridges

You probably know we collect these to raise money for Bishkek but the recycle firm we use only takes specific cartridges.  Macmillan Nurses also collect empty cartridges so if you want to recycle BROTHER or TONER cartridges for that charity put them in the container beside the “baw bee bucket”. PLEASE WRAP CARTRIDGES IN CLING FILM and NOT FOIL.  Thanks, Bob Burrell.
