Caring for the children of missionaries studying at OMF’s Japanese Language Center in Sapporo. NEEDED FOR 2011-2012. (This is a great opportunity for short-term service that also provides a chance to experience Japan and see what missionary life is like!) Church Newsletter

The next edition of the Church Newsletter to cover the period from September and through to December will be published soon. As previously mentioned, it is hoped to use the Church Newsletter to encourage and help others in the Church Family. If you have been to any Torrance Church organised events, e.g. Ladies or Men’s Meetings, Family Picnic etc, write and tell us of your experience. We would also like to publish articles e.g. a review of a book you have read, a concert you have been to, a conference you have attended, or activities in another church you may be involved with etc. Articles should be given to Graeme Phimister or emailed to graemephimister@yahoo.co.uk no later than Sunday 7th August.
Friendship Lunch

The next Friendship Lunch will be on Tuesday, 2nd August at 1.pm. Dorothy Beaton will be with us on that day so why not come along and catch up with her and her news on what is happening in Kyrgyzstan. We look forward to seeing you there.
Creche Volunteers

New volunteers are required to help in the Crèche on a Sunday morning. Would anyone interested, please contact Christine Paterson Tel: 622622. All volunteers need to apply for Disclosure and should speak to Anne Marlin regarding this. Would any current volunteers who no longer wish to help in the Crèche please let Christine know as soon as possible.
Prayer Time

A reminder that the meeting room is set aside for prayer, every Sunday from 9:15am – 10:00am. A special time of silence is spent waiting on God followed by a time of sharing and praying for one another as well as for our church. All are welcome.
